St Mary’s Primary in Mt Evelyn - $1.8 million
Friday 11 November 2022
St Mary’s Primary School in Mt Evelyn will benefit from a significant investment in building and facility upgrades under a Matt Guy Liberals and Nationals Government.
St Mary’s Primary School has more than 300 students and is in desperate need of major upgrades and new buildings to replace the aged portable units.
The current portable classrooms place heavy constraints on the school’s ability to improve the educational experiences for young children. The toilet facilities are old and no longer fit-for-purpose.
Liberal Member for Evelyn, Bridget Vallence, said she was thrilled to announce $1.8 million for much-needed major upgrades, including construction of a new Foundation Learning Block with flexible learning spaces and disability access, new toilets, and upgrades to the facilities in Building 4.
“We’ve listened to the staff, students and parents at St Mary’s Primary School Mt Evelyn and will deliver new facilities including construction of a dedicated Foundation Learning Block with flexible learning spaces, improve disabled access, and new toilets.”
“Our children and teachers deserve much better that having out-of-date toilets and portable classrooms.”
“Only the Liberals will invest $1.8 million to deliver modern and essential education infrastructure for St Mary’s Primary School in Mt Evelyn.”
“This announcement is part of my plan to ensure the children and teachers at St Mary’s Primary School in Mt Evelyn get the best quality educational facilities they deserve.”
“Only the Liberals and Nationals have a $700 million plan to upgrade Catholic and Independent schools across Victoria over the next four years.”
