Coldstream scores $1 million toward pavilion
Saturday 30 July 2022
The Coldstream community will benefit from one of the largest investments in local community sport under a Matthew Guy Liberals and Nationals Government.
Halley Supple Reserve will receive $1 million towards building a new multi-purpose sporting and community pavilion, ensuring better access for players and supporters, and will also encourage greater female participation by delivering new female and male changerooms.
The new pavilion will provide a massive boost for local sporting clubs including Coldstream Football & Netball Club, Coldstream Junior Football Club, Coldstream Cricket Club, and the Yarra Valley Darts Association.
This $1 million in funding is part of the Liberals and Nationals’ plan to recover and rebuild after two years of lockdowns and restrictions on community sport.
Liberal Member for Evelyn, Bridget Vallence, said she was thrilled to make this announcement after listening to the Coldstream community which identified the need for this vital local upgrade.
“If the Liberals and Nationals are elected to Government this November, we will invest $1 million to deliver a new sporting and community pavilion for Coldstream.”
“Grassroots sport is at the heart of local communities – that’s why we’re backing the Coldstream community with this record investment.”
“This announcement is part of my plan to get Coldstream moving and revitalise this wonderful community.”
“The mighty Cougars and Crocs deserve a modern, fit-for-purpose facility that will allow women, men, boys and girls to all compete equally, and offer a great way for locals to come together, exercise and have fun.”
